How I did it: I just kept going and going and going... It was incredibly difficult at first, but once I made it part of my daily routine, it became easier because I scheduled around it. Read how I did it… 6 months ago

- 15 classes; mac makeup holiday gift set
- 20 classes; $150 shopping spree
- 25 classes; hair cut + highlights
- 30 classes; sponsored by my boyfriend (and a surprise!) 6 months ago
OK – so i totally suck at keeping my page up to date with all the crazy and amazing things i’ve been doing – but i’ve just been so exhausted at the end of the day that it’s hard to find the motivation to do anything but sleep (why is that always my excuse?!).
anyways – basically i was 3 days away from my 30 day yoga pass groupon expiring, so i activated it and jumped in headfirst to a 30 day challenge. today was the 15th class and i feel AMAZING. i had to take 2 days off because the studio was closed for renovations, but otherwise i’ve made it there LITERALLY every day. it’s bikrams so 37° and 40% humidity in the room. it killed me at first, but my body is getting used to it. my tummy is looking trim and amazing, and i’ve lost 3 pounds (although i was kinda expecting to gain weight since my muscle mass is obviously increasing). i’m trying to make it to the end without giving up! 6 months ago
i’ve done 12 classes in 11 weeks. man i suck. oh well… that’s a better track record than i’ve had EVER in my life! i have to start giving myself a pat on the back for the small things, instead of beating myself up for not accomplishing the huge goals i give myself.
anyways… i’m creating a “sub-goal” in this category and that is to: FINISH 6 YOGA CLASSES BEFORE OCTOBER 11th (which is when my 10 class pass expires at one of my yoga studio :) ).
deal? 8 months ago
made it to eleven classes.
damn today’s yoga class was hard. i’ve literally never had as tough a work-out as i had today in class. the yogi’s who normally teach the classes i go to are softies. i yearn for a killer ab work-out in the midst of some zen breathing, but the nature of yoga is more ‘be at one with yourself’. not that that’s a problem… in fact this summer it turns out the best thing that i could have done was take up a semi-regular yoga practice again.
mind you, today was literally my eleventh class in nine weeks – not too fucking stellar a track record. but i do want to make it tomorrow to the last class of the day. school has been somewhat a breeze, but i still am finding it difficult to balance everything AND be physically active. 8 months ago
ok. now i’m at 8 classes… went to vegas and then worked four shifts with overtime… so i made it to 10am class today, and i’ve registered for 10am class tomorrow. i’ll have to go straight to work after, but it’ll be worth it. oh, and it turns out that i have to go back to teaching a week early to make the schedule for the fall. there are THREE admin working all summer, but they’re saving it for the teacher’s to make the course schedule the week before school starts. what is wrong with that picture? UGH! oh well, i’ll at least be back to only 3 days a week serving, so hopefully i can get into a regular evening yoga routine. fingers crossed9 months ago
ok. so first thing’s first… i bought another 10 class pass which technically brings my goal to 55 classes. however, it is now july 26th, and i have gone to a grand total of SEVEN classes, so i’m going to stick with the 45. based on my track record, i’m going to make it to 20 classes by the end of august. BUT based on my DESIRE and WANT to do yoga, i’m going to try and hit 30 classes by the end of august, and then activate my one month of unlimited hot yoga in september. yes, i said that my goal was to finish the classes by august, but i think a more reasonable goal is the end of september. 45 classes is like going pretty much every day, and i have been making time for myself and going on vacation with my boo. i’m just glad i’ve committed to the seven classes i have made it to :) 10 months ago
NOW IT’S 55 CLASSES!
just got another pass to a studio really close by. it was discounted over $100 since i’ve never been there before so i really couldn’t say no! 10 months ago
i’ve put a number on it. 45. i will go to 45 yoga classes this summer. :) my summer is July 1st-Sep 4th and i’m going away for a couple weekends, so i’m aiming to go to classes sunday-thursday every week. i’m being super ambitious, but i think i can do it if the bf helps to motivate me through. 11 months ago
