Out of all my “things” this is the one I am most embarrassed about. I have thought about deleting it, but I would still want it. And no one knows who I am.
I never saw myself as a sentimental nutcase, and I certainly promised myself I’d never fall in love (with my three parents having 6 marriages between them and only one still standing). And here I am, a mere 21, pining for a boy who is 1000 miles away. “Silly Katty” as he’d say to me.
But he doesn’t dance. He hates it. And after my last entry I did get to dance with him just us on New Years Eve, which was lovely. But I want to dance on the dance floor with a lad like I did when I was single – only now I don’t want to do it with anyone but him. 3 years ago
He doesn’t like to dance, but he still will occasionally when we are on our own because he knows I love it.
Just swaying on our own, close up, arms around each other – I can smell the washing power in his shirt and feel him kiss the top of my head.
But I’m not seeing him until Christmas now.. even though we have been together two years tomorrow. Because we are following our dreams to different parts of the world for now – but all I want to do is dance with him, with or without music, just him and me.

One thing I missed out on, being homeschooled, was not going to prom. So I’ve never danced. I would love to be able to dance with my boyfriend. I think dancing is such a romantic thing. 4 years ago
