and the sous chef wore ‘em. I even took them to the hospital to see if I could get the nurses and doctors in cardiovascular ICU to wear ‘em – but I forgot.
I was supposed to pass them to Mr. Sunshine. I remembered to give him hollyhock seeds instead.
When I met Amanchara, I thought “My chance has come at last,” – kind of Morrisseylike, but better. We had wine and food and laughter at The Gladstone… and yes, I forgot.
“I want them,” reminded Mr. Sunshine. “They belong to me.”
