tryptofreezeIntegrals and So Far...

I think I spent 2+ hours yesterday doing integral practice and checking my answers. What I realized is that most of my errors are due to what some of my elementary school teachers would have called “careless” mistakes. They’re mistakes, for sure… like doing an entire problem incorrectly because you swapped the dy and dx. This may or may not have something to do with my reading disability, but what I think I’m learning so far is that I have to do LOTS of practice problems so that I can mess up like that a lot and hopefully eventually be able to catch those mistakes.

When I close my eyes, I see functions and when I (lucid) dream, I see the functions moving around in conjunction with conversations being had in my dreams… sigh Can’t wait for that test tomorrow… 10 months ago

tryptofreezeI'll have to explain

I’m not bad at math, but it doesn’t come up too often in my day-to-day beyond some basic algebra and arithmetic. I tend to forget the things I haven’t seen in a while (I really wish I didn’t) and then be unsettled when I see them again. I also find it somewhat difficult to have to learn new things if I haven’t been recently engrossed in the old. I thought it might help to be constantly reviewing and practicing until the ease comes and the anxiety lessens? I’m about to do some integral practice, to start. 10 months ago
