cleaning the cat litter daily

this is probably the hardest chore for us to keep up on and the most important. I’ve tried many times and failed but am hoping with some extra encouragement I can really do it. We have 3 cats and 2 litter boxes.

slacking! I need to step it up and do it more often.

I was doing really good. Recently, however, I’ve been slacking. I guess I’ve been using my cold as an excuse. But I’m feeling better, so I can’t let that slide.

I just got back from vacation and I haven’t touched it since I got home on 8/20/06. It doesn’t look too bad since my friend came in and checked up on my cats while I was gone.

My little Mekong missed me so much. Ever since I have come home, she has to follow me. I plan on spending some time with her tonight after I get some chores done.

Yucky!

I changed the kitchen litter box in order to finish up cleaning my kitchen. I am glad that I did because it was smelly and yucky. I feel so horrible for my kitties for having to endure that. I am thinking that I will treat them with a can of cat food or something. I do love them and I should show it more by keeping their bathroom area cleaner for them.

I will change the bathroom kitty litter tonight and I will then start again scooping it daily like I wanted to before. I will complete this if it kills me. I must thinking of the feelings of my cats when I decide to hold off on doing this daily.

I cleaned out both of my cat litter boxes this morning. I let it go for a while. I will have to make a routine at night to do with before I got to bed.

This morning while I was into my cleaning kick, I cleaned out the major kitty litter box, but I didn’t have enough kitty litter to change the other one. I did scoop it although. There is nothing worse then a nosy cat, (Canna) getting into the box when I am trying to put new litter in it. He has always has some weird fasination with being in there. When he was a kitten, he would play in it, sleep in it and even eat it. That was before he really got the idea for it was for.

When I scooted him out he just looked up at me as to say “Hey, what do you think your doing?”

I didn’t get it done last night. I cooked my dinner then relaxed a bit then fell asleep. Maybe I could do it twice today?

I scooped my cat litter for entire week to earn buying the magazine that I need didn’t need. I went to buy in on Sunday, and I was told they changed the magazines for the month on Saturday!!!!. Ugh!!!

Oh well, as least, I have been keep up with the scooping. I am sure that my kitties are happier. It is one reason why I wanted to do this. I wanted to make it a good habit instead of waiting 3 days to scoop the litter.

I am realizing it is much easier if I do it everyday instead of 3 days.

I was so tired last night, that I almost didn’t scoop the pan before I got ready for bed.

I have heard that it takes 14 days for something to become a habit. I want to make this a good habit for me as well as my kitties.

Of course, as I was scooping, Mekong had to watch my every move. Isn’t she lovely?
