I called the postal station on Monday.
I can go there from 9:30 AM-4PM M-F without an appointment. However, I must bring the completed form, two copies of my State ID (front and back), my birth certificate, and pay $110 for the passport plus a $25 execution fee.
Unfortunately, I cannot get the passport picture at this place.
Because, I am going back to school and because I still have to purchase one more textbook, I will be delaying this goal till February.
I cannot afford to get a passport until then. 1 month ago

$345, exactly…I’ve got to save this separate from all those icky little bills that keep coming in my mailbox. Doesn’t sound like much, but with 2 kids and working a minimum wage job it’s a pretty penny. Still, I REALLY want those few months in Mexico and it will be nice to know that when the opportunity does arise we could just pick up and go. Maybe if I can get through the first few days without cigarettes I can start putting my cancer money towards that instead. lol Not a bad idea… 1 month ago

I am renewing my interest in this goal. My sister LRH is studying abroad for the semester in Istanbul, Turkey. I want to go see her very badly. I have looked at the passport requirements and the closest location to me is a postal station. Apparently, the US government website said some acceptance agencies( I.E. postal stations) only accept exact cash. I will call the postal station and ask to make an appointment. I will also ask if they accept checks or debit cards.
I have not filled out the form yet, but I want to. My passport expired before I was 16 so I have to.
I have a question about this. Is a state ID a primary form of identification? Will they accept a birth certificate and social security card? If a state ID is not accepted, what are the procedures for secondary identification.1 month ago

As soon as I turn 16, I will begin the registering process and hopefully have my passport photo taken. And my birthday is this month!
What better gift is there than a passport, really? 1 month ago
