latest iPhone has a cool program for this—but I don’t have one (I’m a Blackberry user) and am not quite inclined to get it just for this one thing.
How to learn the constellations
How I did it: Well I 've always love that and mazes me how some people are good at it. So I started searching the internet, looking at encyclopedias,etc.

Now I can easily identify most of the stars that that website teaches.
Lessons & tips: Just practice, once you have in your mind the way a constellation looks, practice.

I would have done this a long time ago, but unfortunately I live less than mile from a huge State Prison which has thousands of flood lights. Even on the clearest of nights I can only see the stars in a corner of the sky. :’(

Which is better than nothing, but not too impressive.
Next I want to learn the thirteen constellations of the zodiac.
Dulicinea is ok
the constellaion of the Great Dog contains the brightest star inteh whole sky.
It is called Sirius, found at the dogs head Sirius is sometimes called the Dog Star.
I am going to look out for this one first – it is near the unicorn , the dove and the haire and the Stern

I took an astronomy class in high school (10 years ago) and loved learning about the constellations. Unfortunately after years of not using the knowledge, it has faded away…

Have such a poor memory – can’t remember what I learnt about
Sat on balcony in Gibraltaar last week looking up at the stars which were quite bright but not knowing hte precise name of any of them.
Will buy a book!
