What can I say? This recipe has always fascinated me and I live in Alaska, so I gotta do it. :) Will select and print off a recipe tomm.
How I did it: I used small individual short cakes. I filled their indentations with chocolate-raspberry sauce. I then piled on Goo-Goo Cluster Ice cream in little mounds atop the cakes. Then I slathered the whole things with meringue. Cooked them in a 475 oven for about 4 minutes. Drizzled with syrup and added some sprinkles for color. Very pretty.
Lessons & tips: Be sure to seal the meringue all the way down to the bottom of the cakes. None of the cake should show or the ice cream will leak out.
