open my own art gallery

I love art and draw and would love to do that.

I have a 3 room house where I plan to open an art gallery, contemporary young artist from Romania and the rest of the world:) it’s hard because you have to know a lot of ppl,you have to have a mailing list with curators and press and people from the art bussines,you must have a legal base for conducting your bussines, you have to plan ahead exhibitions,you must gather funds for advertising,and you must see it like a job(target,market,investment etc)But all in all if you are an artist and want to do more in life than waiting to be discovered and selling your works for thousands of euros this is a good idea. Opening up my own art gallery would make me the happiest person in the world. I want it to feature all different types of artists: fine, low brow, graffiti, sculptors etc. Everyone will have an opportunity to show their work.

Once I finish grad school and settle in somewhere, I’d like to open my own art gallery that also has my studio connected. Financially, this will be difficult. But I know, once getting things financed, It will be successful. My work is strong and I’d like to feature other artists as well. I’m tired of seeing how some galleries aren’t run very well and always find myself giving advice to the gallery coordinators. Why not just do it myself.

Actually what I’m trying to do is creat my own studio first and then eventually turn it in to my gallery.

We’ll be building on our old house or builing new all together. That will leave a part of my old house that I can turn into my studio.

Just gotta find time for painting in between working fulltime and three kids in ball after school.

I’d like to skip the hard slog of submitting my work to all the current galleries and just do it my way, ha ha ha
