AlexKandel is so happy to have discovered this site!
When I realized my true passion for the arts (writing and music) I completely lost all interest in sports. I used to play softball, volleyball, and even ran track. In training for these sports I would also take a class in pilates on a reformer once a week. I used to be so flexible! Now that I’m a dirty musician the smallest thing stretches my muscles. So I’ve decided to put an end to it by stretching every morning before class. I wish I had more time to devote to it…

I used to practice gymnastics but I haven’t done it in five years and I’d really love to be able to do all those stunts again. =S

I've done it!
I’ve been attending yoga classes twice a week for the last two months… and I’m proud to say I can
-easily bend over and touch the floor with both hands flat
-do the splits(who knew I could still do this?!)
-bend in many freaky, absurd ways

I’ve suddenly realized that somewhere along the way in the past 4 years i’ve stopped doing yoga and gained weight plus not quite as flexible as i once was.
I decided recently after finding out the seat belts in the back of a neon are too small… I’m loosing weight AND getting my flexibility back.
I’m starting slowly with a Yoga for dummies and will gradually work back up to where i was 4 years ago in ability..hopefully sooner rather than 4 years from now.

I’ve been practicing simple yoga every day for a couple weeks now…
I feel energized and much more flexible than I was even a few weeks ago. Amazing! Yoga was always something I never thought I’d actually see results from. I’ve been changed!
Namaste.

About 10 years ago I was taking tap, jazz, ballet, and gymnastics. I should have stuck with it.
I weighed around 100 lbs. and was really flexible. Sadly, I don’t have any pictures, but I can say that I could put my ankles behind my head (wouldn’t that be awesome to be able to do now? LOL), do bridges, handstand pushups, splits (both ways, allllll the way down to the ground), back walkovers, cartwheels… The list goes on. I used to be light on my feet, very strong, and very bendy.
Those were the days…
Now I’m fat and stiff and unattractive… I’ve got to lose some weight and regain my flexibility. I hate sounding like bubble wrap when I get out of bed.

I used to dance and be very flexible.
What happened to being able to scratch my nose with my toes?
Dunno; but now I’m on a mission to be able to regain my nose-scratching abilities as well as improve my sex life. :D

I used to be able to touch my knees with my forehead when I was still into Karate. Not anymore :( But I’ll do it again!
