Quite a lot of times. Made 2 Summer Burn CDs (2006 and 2008), made 3 Halloween CDs just for me (2006, 2007 & 2008), made a compilation for a Download festival forum CD swap (but unfortunately never got one back). This year I’m doing Summer Burn again, will be my 3rd year doing it! I made some compilation cassettes as a kid for fun too! 4 years ago

How I did it: Pick the songs. Determine the order and make sure they run onto each
other. Have 2-4 parts of the compilation - the introduction (the first
3-5 songs), a peak (the next 10 odd songs), and a resolution (the last
4-5 songs). Try not to use more than one artist per compilation. Use
these rules only as a guide. Read how I did it… 4 years ago

Okay, the reunion date is earlier than I expected – May 23rd. It’s already April 25th and I only found out about a week or so ago. Since then, I’ve been spending most of my free time while I’m not at the computer during the week concentrating on this.
Retreat and Reunion’s lists are finalised; one more song to work out on Resistance.

Okay, so I said I would have it done by NYE 2008 and that didn’t happen. Honestly, if I tried to make it by that deadline, I would have expended no effort on it in the state I was in on that ridiculous holiday with my family (although NYE was actually bloody awesome).
So my new deadline is still to have them done before the reunion, whenever that is, and again, at latest, by NYE 2009 – although that is a big last resort. I still want it completed as soon as possible since I’ve missed my first deadline of Dec 31st, and I’m focusing on making sure that I do it on a day that I’m feeling the vibe to get into it and make it good.
Retreat I can pretty much say is completed, although I reserve the right to make a change if I find a good song until the full trilogy is completed.
Resistance and Reunion are very close, but I’m still just a TAD unsatisfied.
They’re ALMOST DONE. I swear. 4 years ago

Okay, so 2009 is no longer a ways off. I had intended on doing more work and hopefully completing at least one CD on my ~2 weeks holidays in Brisbane, but that wasn’t happening.
So I now have about 3 months to finish all 3 CD’s. Reunion will still be the trickiest since it still needs quite a few more songs and it’s also the most important in having done by the deadline. 4 years ago

I won’t make this a rule, but I want the trilogy completed by the end of this year. By New Years Day, 2009, this goal should be complete, hopefully. 5 years ago

Okay, I’ve decided that to consider this goal completed, I need a trilogy to be completed. So this goal is effectively make THREE compilation CD’s.
No mean feat, since I’m already well into the process. 5 years ago

A lot of alternative music has grown on me lately, and it might add some flavour to any of these compilations.
I’m still not sure how I can do this effectively without spending a ridiculous amount of time on it, though. 5 years ago

With the death of my iPod, making this trilogy has become quite a bit harder. I can’t reorder and test my music unless I’m at home. I’m hoping to buy a new iPod (maybe a nano, I don’t really really need 30gig, although that’s ideal) or at least some other kind of music player that can hold 25 songs.
It’s a pain because I’ve now set deadlines for a fourth CD, and I want Reunion to be finished by 2009. It sounds far off, but it’s taken me this long to get these ones done. 6 years ago

Retreat and Resistance only need polishing, Reunion needs a bit more work. But the end result will be 3 compilations instead of 1. 6 years ago
