How to enter a beauty pagent
How I did it: I applied to Miss Teen Canada. They sent me an email telling me about what kind of things i need to know and do. Then i had 1/2 hour interview with the director of the company. One week later I recived a voice mail message saying that i was top 40 out of 500 girls and i would be going to be in the beauty pageant. I spent the next month practicing and getting in shape for my first beauty pageant.
Lessons & tips: Unfortunately the week before I left I came down with a nasty cold, so by the time of the pageant weekend I was in recovery mode. After the first day of rehearsals I had to drop out, because it was really hard mentally and physically.
So my word of wisdom to anyone who wants to be in a beauty pageant is this; they are lots of fun, but don't forget that your health and well being is the most important thing and should come first. It's important to know when to stop when you've reached you limits. AND NEVER GIVE UP. I will be going to try again next year and I will not let down tell I reach my dreams. :D
Resources: The company that is organizing the pageant has a wealth of resources and in most cases are more then grateful to help with any questions you have.
If you can get into contact with pageant veterans, that is always super helpful.
