Complete my Italy photo album

Right now, I think I’m going to put this one on “waiting” status, until two things happen: First, I’d like to finish the Paris album, as that one is farther along. Also, I think I’d like to wait until the new release of BookSmart comes out, so I can do this on my computer (the current release runs SO slowly; I’m hoping a new one will be better).

I’ve started working on this again during the past few weeks. Making good progress, as long as I keep with it. It feels good to be looking at these photos again, though. I just wish I remembered the names of all the things we saw – I keep having to look things up on the Internet! :D

Right now, i dont have:

1. the money
2. the time
3. the energy

To devote any amount of serious effort toward this goal right now….my mom’s in the hospital, i still havent got a job, & i’m far too broke to do much in the way of getting my roles of film developed. I had bought a nice scrapbook & some initial supplies a while ago, but need alot more before i can really put this together the way i want…..

Right now, i’m pouring more energy trying to get my Venice Poetry Portfolio completed by the end of this quarter…the absolute deadline—!

i’ll get back to this,,,maybe in about six months or so(a good winter project…)

it was a year ago this coming friday that i was heading off in a plane for my first trip aboard—to Venice Italy....dream trip of a lifetime. I shot 14 rolls of 35mm film and 2 panoramic camera’s full of photos. I even had a photo album purchased in advance to scrapbook my pictures into upon my return. I made copious notes on the dates, locations, and subjects of the photos i was taking so that i could write descriptions of them in the scrapbook later….

And like i said, here it is, a Whole Year Later,,,,and i’ve only gotten 3 of those rolls developed. Not one of the pictures has been placed into the scrapbook, altho i did take the time to file all the postcards i’d collected in the front few pages. All other mementos are carefully stored in file folders,,,,and Stored, & stored & stored…

Too often this happens for me, that i carefully plan on doing a marvelous scrapbook of my travels, get up caught in life after i return, and never get back to it till the memories have long faded. I so envy friends that show me their promptly made, beautiful, detailed scrapbooks of trips & vacations—people that are far busier than i am. I know i need to strategize some better way to make this happen,,,,Obviously havent figured it out yet…

I didn’t touch the Italy photos yet, but I did go through all the recent photos that were on my computer, so I could get them backed up, and most of them off my machine. I cleared about 5 GB of space yesterday. Now I’ll be able to get the Italy photos back on my machine and get to work.
