Juno was really great-lots of great dialogue and subtle nuggets of wisdom 22 months ago

mixed in with great acting and an excellent soundtrack.

27 Dresses was funny, most parts were shown though in previews. Still it was a lighthearted comedy and worth it to improve down and dreary mood.

Atonement was complex, a bit confusing, but after I understood more of the plot, things clicked. Sad movie, reminded me of how I felt after I saw Crash, and I guess I thought things were going to turn out differently than they did in the movie.

The Good Witch was on Hallmark and was a cute movie about a witch, I enjoyed the movie as it was a light sort of film with a few fun things thrown in.

P.S. I Love You was great. Several places the audience laughed 23 months ago

and yes there was sadness but also happiness among it. Definitely worth seeing.

Enchanted was lovely, I enjoyed the chipmunk alot and think it’s one I want to own.

I Am Legend was gripping, scary in places but interesting overall. Very moved by the part with his dog and felt the ending was appropriate if sad.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street was mildly gory but did full justice to its demonic roots I felt. Didn’t detect any horrific singing, but it is a musical which might put some off. I really liked how the characters interacted/interwove in each others lives and the twists and turns of the plot. Great actors, gory and sad plot, don’t think I’ll go for owning it, but glad I saw it. ((Sadly I saw a tv show that really mimicked it before the movie so for me it was incredibly easy to follow & figure out but some others had some hard times with it.))

Alvin and the Chipmunks was better than I thought it would be. Plenty of funny moments, heartwarming in places but beyond that, not one I’d want to own. ((On an aside note, back when I burnt one of my cds, Justin Timberlake’s voice went all Alvin on me, and it was hilarious. Anyone else wants to try it-it’s worth it!))

Fred Claus was funny overall to me, they didn’t ruin all the great parts. Kevin Spacey did well with his “bad” dude part and the bit between Paul Giamatti & him was hilarious. Enjoyed fast talking Vince Vaughn but don’t know if I’d want to own it. Perhaps good to see around Christmas time though.

Beowulf was good, I enjoyed Ray Winstone very much. Honestly really wanted to see him naked, but they just tease you with it. I feel like we see women naked alot in films, but rarely with the guys. Grossly unfair. Especially in Ray Winstone’s case. Hey, he is wonderful to look at!

30 Days of Night was great, gory though. The plot kept me in suspense and I found Josh Hartnett’s character convincing and touching. Worth seeing.

Crank was awesome with Jason Stratham. Must see movie and must own.

Saw alot of movie series like the Terminator and Bourne. Both were great to me. I also saw Sicko, Bowling for Columbine, & Fahrenheit 9/11, found all of them interesting and disturbing. Worth seeing all of the above mentioned ones.

or something like that.

Another new batch 3 years ago

1. Mirrormask (interesting Jim Henson produced, kind of trippy but definitely different and kind of good in its own fashion)

2. Undiscovered (with Ashlee Simpson and Steven Strait, really great songs and soundtrack…I plan to get it soon!)

3. Rod Steele 0014: You Only Live Until You Die (spoof on James Bond films that is more pornographic than comedic…bah)

4. Waiting for Guffman (sad not great at all)

5. Threesome (interesting but not worth reseeing.)

6. Time Bandits (aw Sean Connery is in this-gorgeous as ever. Interesting movie about time travel that has little people in it, that isn’t their typical kind of role)

7. Phat Girlz (Monique is great in this movie that I feel like definitely helps bigger girls out there)

8. Little Athens (truly messed up movie about a place of sex, sexual diseases, lies, and drugs-not worth the money to rent)

9. Wassup Rockers (cute Latino boys, that are skaters listen to the Ramones and get shot/hurt as they don’t follow ghetto society rules. Interesting and more reality wise)

10. The Big White (Robin Williams is in this one where he bascially scams the life insurance people out of a million bucks and about all the trouble he ends up going to, to get that money, depressing)

11. If Only (With Jennifer Love Hewitt, about two lovers, one relives the day his love dies, and changes it so he dies instead, which is touching for part of it, but then it’s pretty sappy and not so sweet anymore)

New batch.. 3 years ago

Rented these-

1. John Tucker Must Die. (teen sort of movie, liked it, definitely had some ahha moments.)

2. Adam & Steve (indie film, hilarious, definitely something to see, it’s about two gay guys who love each other but have met before but don’t know it)

3. Accepted (my niece said this was stupid, and I can understand what she meant as it does stall in places but other than that, it’s not too bad. Justin Long is adorable, I love the guy who cooks, and seeing the weird element in college was awesome.)

More to come, I have a bagful of rentals just waiting to be seen!

The newest bunch of movies... 3 years ago

1. Little Man (liked White Chicks better)
2. The Punisher with Tom Jane (yummy man and not a bad movie)
3. Aeon Flux: Operative Terminus (something about Aeon just captivates me, it’s a strange cartoon and I love the sexy scenes, as well as find them somewhat disturbing)
4. Fair Game (William Baldwin is hot! I love the sexy scenes between Cindy & him-steams up the windows!)
5. Kinky Boots (interesting indie film, about an actual factory in England that is Kinky Boots. Good film)
6. Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector (like his stand-up comedy better)
7. Marie Antoinette (with Kirsten Dunst, disappointing, and not quite what it was touted as. The previews are hot, but the movie is yuck. The music isn’t all its spouted to be and the ending is especially blah in my humble opinion)
8. Stranger than Fiction (Will Ferrell at his best, and I love Maggie Gyllenhaal in this after seeing her in The Secretary which is a very ds or bdsm sort of movie. I loved the plot and the ending is excellent)
9. A Good Year (Russell Crowe won me over in this one. He’s sexy, thoughtful, exciting and maddening in this film. I loved the scenery and the actors. The music in this is awesome! I love the plot and way things go in this movie, it reminds me of Under The Tuscan Sun in that way.)

6. Fast and the Furious-Tokyo Drift (liked it)
7. The Wild (slow at first good at end)

School for Scoundrels was funny for the moment, but 3 years ago

not worth buying or reseeing. It did have some funny moments, but other than that, I kind of wish I’d seen Open Season instead.

Watched Pillow Book with Ewan Macgregor last night, and that’s kind of a painting on body erotica slash obsession drama. Interesting, but another video to try to sell and get rid of.

Just watched the Crow Trilogy.. 3 years ago

I must say, the Crow Trilogy is quite dark and somewhat interesting. The best one though, is the first one with Brandon Lee. The second one is better than the third one, as I find Vincent Perez a better Crow in the second.

I also saw A Clockwise Orange which was really quite trippy. That’s kind of expected as it is a Stanley Kubrick movie but it is interesting. I rerented Angel Eyes after seeing Enough recently. Enough is far better in my humble opinion.

Let's have some adult videos... ((wink wink)) 3 years ago

That comment is to my afternoon of watching 9 1/2 weeks. It has Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke…and really dabbles with alot of what I’ve learned about D/S. Domination and Submission. I was enjoying the twists of their relationship and then the movie ended and I wanted to say what happened to them? Argh. I wanted more! ((sighs))

In addition I’ve watched Rush(Jason Patric) which was quite trippy and about drugs, very much a sad kind of downing movie. I watched Chicago again with my niece and enjoyed it more this time. I love the first couple of dance numbers and some of the lyrics. I did watch Farenheit 451 and was really impressed. Yes, I was feeling quite smart and that I could handle it, after all the things I had heard. Note, I watched the old version, and plan to check out the one who did Bowling For Columbine. It struck me how much it was like what the Nazi’s were like and just some of the eerie similarities to today’s world. I did watch Pulp Fiction as well and finally saw all the things that so many people talk about and do now.

I have quite a few more movies to go…maybe I’ll go watch another one now…
