Saw that movie again this weekend for the first time since, like, third grade. I never realized that Alec Baldwin played Adam Maitland or that the principal from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off played Mr. Deetz. Great movie. I realize now that the plot’s a little thin, but, for me, at least, that’s OK. The movie has such great memories and is so funny and strange that I don’t mind.
One thing bothers me. He pretty clearly spells his name Betelgeuse, but the movie’s title is Beetle Juice. Anybody have any idea why?
PS – After seeing Edward Scissorhands, I’ve now seen 9 of his 13 movies, putting me at 69% through with this goal. (:
Just saw Edward Scissorhands tonight. I really liked it. I appreciate movies that are less than two hours, especially when they completely use their time. I thought it was really interesting that Edward was really the town’s hero but they chased him out of town because he was different.
