I went to the doctor, and she scared me into trying to lose weight again. She thinks I just need to lose 10 lbs so I am going to try to set a more realistic goal and if I reach that then try again for 106. Man that would be awesome, though, right?

are getting up early to work out before work. So far it is working. I am sore, etc. We are having fun. It is so much easier with someone else. Conventional wisdom, blah blah blah.
I lost 8 lbs in 2 weeks doing this show. Not on purpose. I just didn’t have time to eat anymore. Hoping that will last through finals.
I lost 3 lbs last week. But I think it’s from the stress and forgetting to eat. :(
So I’ve been eating pretty well lately, but today my boss is retiring and we had a party with cake and ice cream. Guinness ice cream. Which is very good. Yes, I had to try it.
Still just running around my neighborhood, about 2- 2 1/2 miles each time. I need to really start doing it every day if I’m going to get better at distance. Right now it’s more like twice a week. Maybe now that I have a little more time on my hands I can get to bed earlier and get more serious about this goal.
I’m starting to run again. I used to be a runner, when I was like 14. I was okay at it for awhile. No marathons or anything, but I was on the cross-country team for like 5 years. But in nice weather I just don’t want to be in the stuffy gym, and what I do at the gym isn’t as aerobic as running. Now I get winded pretty easily, but I do so much walking that my legs don’t get tired or sore or anything. So I’m going to try to keep it up for awhile and see if I get better. Maybe if I get up to like 4 miles Lorin will let me go running with her.
about classes starting next week because this morning the fitness center was mostly dead, and absolutely no one was in the pool. It was awesome. I am hooked. It was kind of depressing schlepping my crap through Union Station at 6 a.m., but looking out on the campus from the glassed-in fitness center is great once the sun is up. I hope that the view of the Capitol from New Jersey Ave on my way to work from the gym will be a good reminder that DC can be really pretty without all the people and buses and stuff.
I am in a really good mood today if you couldn’t tell.
this morning at orientation. Helen and I are going to be workout buddies! It’s so much easier to exercise regularly if someone else is expecting you to show up and do it. I’m getting up early to try out the Georgetown gym before work tomorrow :)
at La Maison, Kayla, told me today that she liked my jeans and she has a pair in pink. She also claims they are J-Lo’s jeans. As someone whose nickname used to be A-Lo, I feel double insulted that now J-Lo is appropriating my jeans.
Anyway, the point is that my booty ain’t goin’ nowhere for awhile. Dang.
