have a beautiful yard

Fall came too quickly and I ran out of time and money to prep the yard for grass, but I did get our front flower bed cleaned up and properly mulched. We’ll try to add a layer fill dirt or top soil to the rest of the yard before next fall and try to plant some grass then.

Got the pH tested last night, though I’m not sure I did it right. Came back very alkaline and I was expecting very acidic. There’s also about a 4” layer of mulch in my front yard I need to deal with. I think this is going to be more costly than I had anticipated.

We just bought a home in May and the yard is terrible. So I’m taking it upon myself to kill everything off and lay down some nice grass seed. Let it germinate in the winter and by spring, this should be done.
