Read someones entry about mind mapping and it sounds about right. 1 hour study for every 20 mins of lectures – 5 min break every 20 minutes and then spend the first five minutes going over what you just did. Really need to work through the whole year consistently and keep up the hard work – with all of my papers apart from one being full year lots of people will slack off and stress at the end of the year. This is my chance to really get ahead of them. Need to get a desk this year too the warehouse has some cheapys I must invest and stop kidding myself that I can study on my bed when I am at home – thank god for the library.
Am going to have to work my ass off have some major competition who have no life and I want a life so am going to keep it up from day one. Just looked at pathology labs and wtf????? have alot of learning ahead. xb
This is something I have to do otherwise I don’t know if I would get into a oral surgery or periodontal residency of my choice if I don’t. Also need this to get the job of my choice when school finishes – have heard with distinctions you are snapped up(so this would give me a bit of power over where I go and into what field)
Well have slacked off for the last four years and only pulled in a B average. V. disappointed in myself and hate looking at my transcript, feel like I am closing doors without even knowing it. Really want pull up my average and get top of the class distinctions for all my papers. I know I will have to work my ass off as there are so many amazingly bright people in my class. Living close to the library this year like outside my door so am going to make it there a few nights a week. So in order to achieve my goal I think I will have to
1.) Wake up early and do study before school
2.) Keep office hours and study like you would a job
3.) Go to all my classes, get v. involved and stay for the whole of labs to utilise tutors wisdom
4.) Make extensive notes for the lectures, books and related material and journal articles.
5.) Gain a more extensive knowledge than provided in lectures
6.) Stay on top of things
7.) Teach class mates what I know, this is a v. valuable learning method
8.) Study through out the year as if exams were coming
9.) Ask questions and go see professors regularily
The first entry for my studies xox
