How I did it: I lost a permanent internet connection, and as a result I couldn't physically check myspace every second of the day. Going completely cold turkey meant that when I did get access to the internet again.. everyone and everything had moved on.. I'd not had any profile visitors for 4months.. so I just clicked all the way through the 'are you sure you want to delete your account?' bits and I'm off it for good! Lessons & tips: I think going cold turkey from the internet for 6 months, for me, was the only way I could have gotten off Myspace.. if you can do it, great.. it's completely liberating not having internet access 24/7. And.. it's easier than you might think. |

I’ve thought about deleting it the other night. I think it may only be a matter of weeks. I should start off by making it private. Face book seems a bit better because most contact has to be through people that already know you. I have a face book account but haven’t really gotten into it.
I’m not going to delete my MySpace entirely, but I don’t really hang out there so much anymore. And haven’t for a while. I don’t like it very much, nor facebook. I spend a LOT more time on my Suicide Girls account because they have more to offer, and the people there aren’t as annoying. I keep the MySpace to read other people’s journals and check on it every once and a while. It’s good to have around, I suppose.

It’s worth it. It won’t be out of my life for ever just for two months…

I stopped myspacing after a 2 1/2 year addiction! Myspace is absulotley ridiculous and waste of time! You need to spend more face time with your friends! And FYI the really important people in your life have your number and email. Being myspace free is so great, and COMPLETELY worth it!!!!!

been off for 8 months.
at first it was because i didnt want to see my ex and all the little girls he flirted with. but really, everyone was so fucking FAKEEE. ew. psh, news flash, myspace is over.
it just all got so vain.. who’s on your top 8? how pretty is your page? what kind of music are you playing, what picture is up? i practically deleted my profile, but kept the account open in order to stay in touch with people i don’t often talk to.
geez, i have not missed myspace at all.
