How I did it: I'm currently taking a beginner ballet class. It took me some time to find a teen beginner class, since a lot of classes are either pre-teen/younger kids or adult. A friend told me about a new dance academy opening up in my town, so I signed up and started 2 months ago! :)

I love watching Dancing with the Stars. Now, I’m not planning on getting that good but I would at least like to learn the basics. I think it would be a fun thing to do with my husband. We are both terrible dancers.

No really! Have you seen that thing Shakira does where her hips move downward? Check our the “hips don’t lie” video sometime if you don’t know what I mean. So cool! And I think the art itself is cool.
Ballroom and Latin dances just look like so much fun! And I think I might actually be good at it. We’ll see….
What A WorkOut!

Tonight I went to a Capoeira beginners class and lets just say i’m a little out of shape. It was so much fun and challenging. I did a cartwheel for the 1st time in a decade and a head stand. I probably looked riduculous but I had so much fun and will definitely be feeling it tomorrow. Can’t wait to keep researching other dance classes in my area!

I found a Capoeira (Afro-Brazilian martial arts) class that sounds really interesting. It isnt a dance class persé but it has a lot of movement and will be a good workout. I got one of my best friends to join me which will make this an even more enjoyable experience!

I’ve always wanted to do this. I’ve always been held back by no money, no one to go with me, can’t decide which type of dance, I’d be embarrassed, etc… But I think that if the opportunity knocks, this time I will answer!

so my hubby’s cousin invited me to take a swing dance class with her. i’m so excited! except it doesn’t start for another 3 months…so we’ll see.
