How I did it: I found a condo in a trendy location, near a college and fell in love with the area. I bought directly from the owner not a realtor so it was an interesting process. Read how I did it…

I want to buy a condo around age 25. A cheapo one bedroom, but decent enough one will do. Then I’ll stay in there till I save up more for a better one as the years go on…...
I’d like to OWN a place to call my own. A place where I could feel secure and was mine and mine alone. Truly a place where I never would worry about being thrown out or not having a place to live.
I’m about ready to buy my first condo, (closing on Jan 15th,) and I can’t be more excited. Its in a newer complex (approx.just 3 years old). And soooo many nice amenities. The gym is amazing! Free weights, machines, everything I need! 2 pools, a party room, and even a personal MOVIE theatre. The complex is Nantucket if anyone’s ever heard of it. The downside is its just a 1-bedroom, but i’m a bachelor and thats more than enough space for me to take care of. I’ll keep ya posted on how everything goes!
I want to sell my house and buy a condo. For a while I thought about just renting an apartment but I like the freedom to paint the walls or have pets. I can’t keep up with all the demands of a house. It’s been overwhelming at times just trying to keep the leaves out of the gutters in the fall, the lawn mowed in summer or the snow shoveled in winter on top of working full time. And with the inside chores like laundry, cooking, cleaning etc…I just can’t do it all myself. This year alone dealing with a leak in a new roof & in the chimney, termites, moles in the yard and plumbing issues (apparently a pipe has separated). Not to mention the cost of it all or the frustration of dealing with service people who don’t keep appointments.
searching for a beacon wants to get back on track.
did the inspection today, everything went great. loved the inspector! he was so helpful and gave me lots of little tips and tricks to fix the minor things. filled out more paperwork today. i don’t think i’ve signed my name so many times in one day before….

“Did you buy more than you can afford? How did you manage? I found the perfect place, well almost, but it is way over budget but very reasonable for that area. It is a good invesment.”
