“I want to make money not so much by actually needing it, but to save up at least $15k by the time I graduate so I can move out. My parents are good to me, and I live only half an hour train ride from the city, but I think it’s time I started learning to be independent. Plus if I’m going to be a professional student I will need all the money I can possibly save”
That was 17 months ago. I’m clearly not going to get there (my last exam is in November), but I’m on track for $10k. Things have happened which have resulted in less work shifts than anticipated, but that’s ok because I’d rather earn less and pass everything than earn more and fail something (which incidentally I did). Being smart about my choice of savings account and term deposits have all helped keep me afloat.

I figure what I’m not spending is saving, right? Even if I do spend that savings on other things, at least I’ll have two things instead of one thing.
So it’s back to the consignment shops, improvising, recycling, good wills, scamming, and stealing.
kidding about the last one, I was keeping the alliteration going.

I have signed up to some online survey sites to see how much money I can make from this. I deliberately avoided the ones that asked me to pay a membership or joining fee and instead joined a selection of free to join survey sites at http://www.123surveys.co.uk
I have earned some money although I have been a bit disappointed that I keep being screened out of some of the surveys I have been sent but hoping things will start to improve financially. Some of the surveys I have participated in were quite interesting although some have been rather dull.
Really need to get myself a decent job with a decent wage if I am going to ever make some real money though.
