decorate and furnish our apartment

After over two years here I’m finally starting to paint! This is the first big step in my plan to get this item on my 43 Things list knocked out by the end of the summer…

Started over in a new place at the beginning of the year! In three years we’ve lived in three places. I’m tired of moving, but we couldn’t pass this place up; it’s just what I wanted.

Hopefully this is where we will stay for a while. I love our new apartment, and we have definite ideas what we want to do with it. We began painting but need to do a lot more; after six months of arranging and rearranging rooms finally got a layout we want to stick with; and have bought furniture we like to work with.

I would say we’re about halfway there right now, just because we still have some major work to do (most of the painting).

The first and biggest thing we have to do is find some nice, cheap furniture to fill out the rooms. The second is to paint. The third is probably to redo the flooring in the hallway and kitchen. Along the way we’ve got to fix up a bunch of small things so we can organize our stuff better (closet fittings, kitchen layout, and so on).
