Read the ms aloud to my husband during a trip. His comment (twice repeated): “Why isn’t this published, again?”
I see a major correction to make and one character that needs to go in a little different direction…

...suggest that this manuscript is worth editing. Yeah, they’re all family, but my brother – who does not normally read – stayed up all night to finish it and called his wife at some ungodly hour to talk about it. Another sister also stayed up late. Dad – who was the one person who recognized that the poem I got $300 for a while back was really drivelish undeserving sap – even liked it.
Problem: I have no idea how to edit a work this long. I have one novella I’m editing, but that one requires a change of POV and that has made it easier to at least get started adding some graceful description and changing the point of view.
Ack. I’m going to have to find a writer’s group in real life.
