    Cross-stitch progress 5 months ago

    - supporting images (e.g. alphabets, pictures, borders); already have an alphabet in mind; still need to track down some borders
    - get more graph paper
    - chart main object (house, based on friends’ condo building), words ‘home sweet home’ and border
    - get stitching supplies – ordering the Aida fabric online, need to doublecheck I have enough floss (thread) in desired colours and the right kind of needles for the type of fabric
    - prep fabric
    - cross-stitch
    - back-stitch/finishing stitches
    - prep fabric for framing
    - find frame store that is particularly good at stretching cross-stitches/needlework
    - drop for framing
    - retrieve
    - get / make wrap
    - wrap gift
    - present the gift!

    Cross-stitch gift 6 months ago

    - idea (composition, general concept)
    - supporting images (e.g. alphabets, pictures, borders); already have an alphabet in mind; still need to track down some borders to see if I like any
    - get more graph paper
    - chart out design
    - get stitching supplies
    - prep fabric
    - cross-stitch
    - back-stitch/finishing stitches
    - prep fabric for framing
    - find frame store that is particularly good at stretching cross-stitches/needlework (harder than it sounds!)
    - drop for framing
    - retrieve
    - get / make wrap
    - wrap gift
    - present the gift!

Cross-stitch for friends' new home 6 months ago

Ahhh… that joyous feeling of just starting a new creative project!

Am at that nascent stage where I’m playing around with what the cross-stitch might look like. I’ve got some ideas for something simple although I haven’t put anything to paper yet and certainly haven’t started stitching yet.

    Here are my to-do’s:

    - idea (composition, general concept)
    - supporting images (e.g. alphabets, pictures, borders)
    - get more graph paper
    - chart out design
    - get stitching supplies
    - prep fabric
    - cross-stitch
    - back-stitch/finishing stitches
    - prep fabric for framing
    - find frame store that is particularly good at stretching cross-stitches/needlework (harder than it sounds!)
    - drop for framing
    - retrieve
    - get / make wrap
    - wrap gift
    - present the gift!
