We got a Wii and already we’re definitely more active between the Wii Sports and DDR! Hoping to keep this up, really enjoying it.

My New Year’s resolution was to exercise daily and be more active.
I started by following along with a Leslie Sansone “Walk Away the Pounds” dvd. I slowly started getting out and walking.
Three months later, I have walked nearly 750 miles, lost 11 pounds, gained muscle, and am to the point where I am looking forward to my daily workouts. This has not only helped my physical state, but my mental state as well. I am absolutely going to continue.
I recommend this to anyone who is able to walk. Buy a pedometer, and start out with a mile or two a day. If you don’t want to walk around the neighborhood, walk in place! The first few days are the worst part. Stick with it, challenge yourself, and be proud of yourself when you realize that you are getting back into shape!

I haven’t done much besides housework since I’ve set this goal. It’s just too darn COLD outside as of late. Today went for a walk and it felt GREAT!
Currently taking three classes: badminton, yoga, and ballet. I’ve got forty pounds to lose leftover from the most recent pregnancy and I’m sick of feeling heavy and out of shape. I mean, I couldn’t help gaining of course, but I want to feel a little more back to how I was: I’ve never been this big before and it bugs me.
I am not doing anything formal in the way of exercise, except trying to stick to a workout DVD (slow going so far because I’m very out of shape) but I find I am a lot more active lately because I’ve been working on my home (cleaning, organizing, arranging, unpacking, etc.). It’s a start.
Summertime helps too! I am so inactive in the winter.
