How to become a Reiki master/teacher by tigerupgirl

"I spent a few years pursuing this off and on. It was WELL worth it! I LOVE giving Reiki to my family!"

How I did it: I looked around and found a Reiki Master Teacher and I signed up for classes. I took my time in between levels and made sure that I wanted to go on to the next level before doing it.  Beware though, if you don't want you WHOLE LIFE to change, you might not want to do this.  It does change you... for the better in my opinion, but still, be prepared.

Lessons & tips: Take your time.  Practice, practice, practice. Be prepared to change.

Resources: The internet can give you a lot of information. www.reiki.org is a good place to start.

    Reiki calling 2 years ago

    I want to eventually become a Reiki Master/Teacher, and use my skills as a trainer in that way. My mini goals are to get my level one certification before June 30, 2007, my level two before July 31, 2007, my master level by the end of one year, and my master/teacher level by the end of 3 years. In 10 years I hope to be retired and have my own Reiki/Reflexology practice/training center.

    Update… I am planning on getting my level 2 certification in June 2008. After I got my level 1, I was completely turned off of Reiki! It took me a year almost to come back to it. But I now am working towards my goal again.

    DONE! I got my Reiki Master certification in June 2009! I am now working on my plan to transition into a Reiki business in 5 years!

    I currently have Usui Reiki II and have been using it quite successfully on people and animnals. I want to take the next step and be able to teach people to do Reiki on themselves, other people, and their animal companions.
