go tubing

This was pretty unexpected. I decided to celebrate Memorial Day at the lake with my someone special and a bunch of his family and friends. I didn’t know they had a tube and I had never tried it. It looked like fun so I gave it a go.
Word of caution; always check your safety jacket and don’t share a tube with a daredevil. My SOS jumped off the tube and sent me flying too. We were going so fast the second time around, I was told that I skidded across the water when we fell out. Very fun :D

This experience left with a good feeling of inner balance afterwards. Getting myself in tune with the waves coming my way. The weather was perfect, so that kind of amped up the good vibe. I’m going to keep doing this!

I’ve planned to go tubing on september 6th 2008.

A friend of mine made this sound fun.

I wish I had pictures, but maybe not as Leela and I both were perhaps a little lazy in the razor department, and my tummy rolls. As in a verb. It rolls, all by itself.

Anyway I rode up with her family and we went down the river twice! It was lovely, a bit chilly but I loved cozying up in the tube. We were with her parents so no alcohol, but I’d love to do it again with just one drink to relax with.

Or even just a lemonade.

But it was a grand success!! I’m excited, because we’re going again in two weeks!!

Went tubing at Shawnigan Lake for the first time this summer, I had an incredible time! My first go I had a death grip on the tube and everyone else was laughing at the look of fear on my face. But eventually I loosened up and began steering. It’s so exhilirating, I can’t wait to go again!

It was fun for me. I liked how some parts very calm some parts a little exciting. I went with 3 friends and they said it was really scary! I was so surprised. One said she nearly drowned. I think it’s a matter of how you sit in the tube. We had the tubes with the bottoms. You need to lean back and do a little paddling.
