I’ve been told we should think of the Bible as a love letter from God. If you’re a Christian there is nothing more worth it than arming ourselves with the word of God, to shoot down any attacks from the enemy. If we are to build up our knowledge in God from His word, the stronger we can become in our faith. I have a long way to go in knowing the Bible from cover to cover but am excited to be in the process of getting to know God more as I feed myself with His word.

I’m being drawn to Psalms and Proverbs right now, so I think I’ll work on reading those two books next.
I’m a staunch atheist, but you know what they say, ‘know thy enemy’, right? :)

So maybe it’s out of order, but I read all of Philippians this morning. If you’re looking for a reason to be joyful, this is it. Paul found joy when he was imprisoned, I can find it in my life, too.
As I think more about this goal, I think it’s equally important to read it, learn it and love it.
but I am reading a very interesting book on the theory as to where the tomb of Jesus is….
I started to read the Bible a few summers ago but didn’t make it far at all. After a recent incident in my life I feel the Bible will do much healing for me and make me a stronger person. A friend also inspired me to read the entire bible.
You won’t grasp everything important in God’s Word with one pass, but you’ll grasp the major themes and get a good grounding in basic theology.
Then you can go on to more intensive study…
I’ve done this; but I forgot many things. So I reread part of the bible. I want to reread each word.
