I already felt

close to L, as I wrote six months ago. And then I just spent two weeks at A and her mother’s, because my own home is not a place to live in those days. I haven’t seen the mother much, but I’ve had the occasion to spend quite a lot of time with A, and to share things I had never had the occasion to share with her.
In particular, she’s studying History, and had an text comment (does this make any sense ?) to prepare, which I helped her to do. It hasn’t been that easy, because she was really tense and stressed and, according to me, not always working with the right method. So, I’ve had to be helpful, supportive, and sometimes a bit tough. But I just had her on the phone : she presented her work this morning in front of her class, and it went well, and the teacher said she had done a good job.
I’m feeling happy for her, happy for the relationship we developped, and I hope she will ask me for help again. Plus, I’ve really liked to play the tutor, to try to put into words what I remember about the way you’re supposed to do what teachers are expecting when you’re a student…

the best I could do. I feel close to the one I really get along well with. She’s a very nice young woman, I think we like each other very much and will remain close, even without being best friends. She’s starting to study in the field I work in, so we should have a lot of things to exchange about, quite soon.
I like the others, but I don’t feel like we have that much in common. And I’m going to invent what we haven’ got.
Oh, and, we planned a week-end meeting of the whole 8 cousins, in october. That will be fun.

eddievonteese I wish I had more vacation, but 2 months is more than most get...
I’ve taken to visiting my aunt’s place more frequently.
My cousin’s are pretty friggin’ cool. They’re both in their teens and I love them!

“done” (even it I don’t really like to say “done, so what’s next” for this kind of thing) with L. We spent four days together on the Santiago de Compostela path, and it was great ! We didn’t have very intimate conversations (I didn’t feel like playing the big cousin’s role, as in “So, are you in love at the moment ?”), but we spoke a lot about what we were living on the path, and about the family.
I’s good to have this souvenir to share with her.

I certainly was impressed with what fine young men the twins are turning into when they were so helpful at my wedding.

I have four ones here in Paris, they are between 16 and 20 years old, they are goodpeople, and I know I (and my brother also, but he lives in Grenoble) mean something for them, as “the great cousin” [is “great” the right word here, or is it “big” ?].
I know I really would have liked, when I was their age, to have someone ten years older I could have trusted, asked questions and everything (my aunt, one of my cousin’s mother, plaid this role, more or less), so I would like to do it for them !
