take a picture of myself actually smiling

However, it’s proving much more difficult than I thought. I tried a few hand-held self portraits, but they all looked horrible. My wife was going thru some of our old analog snapshots (and I’ve posted a couple); however, since we had our daughter (in 2001), we really haven’t taken very many pictures of anyone but her.

There was a smiling one from a birthday party a few years back, but it made me look like a raving drunk (which I wasn’t…at the time).

I’m beginning to think that I just don’t smile very much…

Seeing all my portrait pics makes me think that I don’t. I’m not really a very serious person—I think I’m just a bit self-conscious.
