I’ve decided: who cares? If you want to act like an ass, who cares? It’s not my job to put you in your place. Which means I no longer have to shoulder the role, “Defender of those emotionally victimized by pseudo-intellectuals.” I give up. To all the other victims of the delusional, privileged, White-and-Worldly windbags I have to say, “Sorry, guys; it’s every man for himself.” I wasn’t successful in my quest to enlighten them, anyway. It’s worse than trying to reason with a drunk. Just don’t take them too seriously. They’re too wrapped up in impressing their own kind to ever do anything significant or useful in any practical sense – so just forget about them. Yes, they’re taking up space, loudly and obnoxiously, but yet, essentially innocuously. I suggest that we just get out of their way and carry on with our little jobs that are the real momentum behind the progress that lifted us above open cesspools and eating rodents.

I’m not a snob. Really. If anything, I’m the Anti-snob. The antithesis of snobbery, if you will. BUT there are a few things that I could be a little more tolerant of. Like people who try too hard to blend in. There’s nothing wrong with not wanting to make a scene. There’s nothing wrong with not yelling out your opinion every time you have a chance. There’s nothing wrong with talking on a cell phone if you’re not hurting anyone else. I do not choose to do any of those things regularly, but that doesn’t make anyone who does less than a fine human being. But I’m also intolerant of honest-to-God bone fide snobs. Especially Indy snobs that don’t give other people a chance to prove that they’re not idiots. Why do so many Indy snobs think everyone other than other Indy snobs are idiots? I don’t understand. But there are things I don’t have to understand, and so my goal is to stop trying to scandalize people like the Indy snob-set and just let them be. Why put the effort into actively disliking them? Life’s too short!
