Singing aloud
Recently, one of my friends said something that made me wonder if I really had a good singing voice, or if it was just something people told me because it was the polite thing to say. It’s made me clam up and just not want to sing anymore for fear that I’m actually one of those people you see during the audition rounds of [Insert Country Here] Idol who have delusions of talent.
But singing is something I’ve always enjoyed, and I shouldn’t let an imagined slight stop me! So what if my neighbours can all hear me sing because our houses are packed in so tight? Let them enjoy the free music! :D

Well, singing is very important to me. It’s my way to get away from the world for a while.
Someday, I hope, I could sing in front of audience. And I don’t mean 30.000 people and huge stadions.
But for now, I think I’m too shy for that.

JulieJordanScott is continually setting odd goals that need translation for many people
So in all my naivete, my first musical was “Into the Woods” – a Sondheim musical. I couldn’t start with something easy! LOL.
I was petrified. It was only my second play as an adult and I couldn’t believe I was cast alongside all these brilliant singers and actors. (I played Jack’s Mom.)
People who see me perform now who were on that show with me then are amazed. They can’t believe I have in me now what they didn’t necessarily see back then.
Yes, I can sing. I can sing out. I can even sing well. LOL.

JP Creighton rising to shine on a rainy cloudy May Sunday;waiting for coffee, here.
Desmond has a barrow in the market place.
Molly is a singer in a band.
Desmond says to Molly – girl I like your face
And Molly says this as she takes him by the hand.
Ob-la-di Ob-la-da life goes on bra
Lala how the life goes on
Ob-la-di Ob-la-da life goes on bra
Lala how the life goes on
Desmond takes a trolley to the jewellers’ stores,
Buys a twenty carat golden ring.
Takes it back to Molly waiting at the door
And as he gives it to her she begins to sing
In a couple of years they have built
A home sweet home
With a couple of kids running in the yard
Of Desmond and Molly Jones.
Happy ever after in the market place
Desmond lets the children lend a hand.
Molly stays at home and does her pretty face
And in the evening she still sings it with the band.
Happy ever after in the market place
Molly lets the children lend a hand.
Desmond stays at home and does his pretty face
And in the evening she’s singer with the band.
And if you want some fun – take Ob-la-di Ob-la-da.

i sing CONSTANTLY! But I mostly just sing when i’m alone, in front of the computer, or in my room. But other times i’m singing just not loud so that no one can hear me at all. The only person i sing in front of is my BFF. We both sing great when we’re singing together.

Well, sort of. Whenever I’m alone, I sing. Actually, even when I’m not alone… just not as loud.
And my current National Anthem (aka, the song I can’t stop singing) is Breaking Free from the Disney Channel’s High School Musical.
Oh dear. Heh.

Yep, this is exactly what I’m doing right now. John Lennon’s Tiny Dancer, India.Arie’s version of The Heart of the Matter, Josh Groban’s To Where You Are and Toad the Wet Sprocket’s Walk on the Ocean are part of the repertoire. And Celia Cruz’s Te Busco as well, which is a shower regular.
Omigod, I love to sing! Even if I’m not sure that it loves me back! :P

I sing a lot as it is but not nearly as much as I could and or should. When I’m up singing a solo I get really nervous and I don’t really sing out which ruin the entire song and everything. Alos realizing you dont have to sing whats written exactly as its writte because a million and one other people can sing it that way but no one can really sing it the same again if there are parts that have been impovised. I guess this could go with the whole public speaking thing as well.
