grow an heirloom rose garden

how much I adore roses today.

I had put this on hold but I think I can grow them in pots until I find my next home to transplant them.

I’ll start with miniature yellow roses.

but the house next door is a foreclosure that the city has posted for code violations. It could be cute but needs a lot of work.

The ironic thing about the situation is it has 4 beautiful heirloom rose bushes in the front yard. . . I can tend them while they wait for a new owner :)

at every home I was buying. This is going on the to be continued list until I buy my next house.

I found some really cute potted miniature roses that would be wonderful for my kitchen window sill. I especially liked the yellow ones.

Has anyone raised these? Would they be okay until I could put them out on my balcony this spring?

Then got the idea to give my loved ones a rose bush named for them on their birthday and plant one in my garden to match.

since the days of William Shakespear we have had a love affair with roses. Once I lined my front walk way with 20 china doll rose bushes…delicate pink flowers . It was beautiful. I had many hours of pleasure tending my roses…
