I have a Labrador, and having taught him to come on command has kept him from getting into trouble lots of times.
Sadly, he’ll respect my command to “come” but toatlly ignores my husband.

Abby, our beloved Jack Russell Terrier, does not come when called.
She sits, she begs, she lies down, and stands up. (All with or without a treat) But we still have not been able to train her to control herself enough to let her off the leash while in public. She tugs and tugs, and has gotten off a couple times. Here we are looking like Abbott and Costello and she’s running free. (probably secretly laughing at us!)
