learn to whistle between my fingers

It looks so easy….

am putting this on my things to do in summer list

have always wanted to do this, is there a particular technique at all???

I just haven’t figured this out yet.
And, man!, it’s kinda frustrating. :P

I’ve always been envious of people who can let off with one of those piercing whistles that everyone can hear for miles around.

I’m a lousy whistler even without my fingers. I can wistle any song as long as it has one note.

... last night I dreamed that I could whistle really loud between my fingers! I was trying to whistle the regular way and it wasn’t loud enough. I thought, “Ohh, what about the finger-whistle?” So I kept my mouth in the same position as a regular whistle and put my fingers up to my mouth—and it worked! Okay, okay, I know that is prolly NOT how to do it, but I gotta tell ya, it was SO much fun to be able to do it! sigh ...some day…

Is there any written technique out there?? SOMEBODY knows how to do this!!! HELP!!! Don’t make me have to use these the rest of my life!!!

I practiced this a bit on vacation & was able to get the beginnings of a weak whistle, but that’s about as far as I got. And you know how the week after vacation goes…

By the way, I found out that you can get lightheaded really quickly practicing this! I wouldn’t recommend practicing in the middle of the railroad tracks.

I can whistle using an acorn cap (after much practice in grade school I finally figured this out), but how the heck do you do the loud whistle using your fingers?
