a month after making this goal, I’m at around $2450. So $150 up from last month. At this rate, I guess I’ll hit $5000 around a year and a half from now. Not bad, I was hoping to complete this before graduating, and it looks like I will.
I’ve been using mint.com for a little over a year now – it’s a good online budgeting tool, and likewise it shows you accounts and credit cards that you can apply for that help you save more money then you’re already saving. It also really puts into perspective where you’re spending.
I recently made it my home page. I don’t check it every time I get online, but it’s still helpful.
Starting at around $2300. I figure I can track my progress once a month or so.
