pet a giraffe

This was so-o much more fun than I thought it would be.

There is a baby giraffe at our local zoo; she walked over to the high walk way allowing me to scratch her little head. There was no one near by & I didn’t even think about it not being ok until I was telling a friend later.

It was just a happy little moment : )

Ok, so we call them squishy beaks, and the reason we do is well, you can figure it out :) they are amazing. Hands down the coolest creature out there…I mean c’mon, just look at that neck. Ive been able to pet and feed them in WI and in MI both have zoo’s were you can do that and let me tell you ITS WORTH THE ROAD TRIP!!!!!

I LOVE GIRAFFES! My absolute, most very favorite animal. Since it probably isn’t safe to ride one, I’ll settle for petting one :)

If I could pet a giraffe I would so take that oppurtunity and pet that giraffe! Some people are afraid of giraffes but what is there to be afraid of? I mean seriously! Come on! Can’t you people see that petting a giraffe is probobly a once in a lifetime thing so take it or leave it!

At our local zoo, I paid five damn dollars to feed a giraffe a giraffecracker (crackers made for giraffes, not out of them), thinking I’d get to pet it. But there were specific instructions: hold the cracker like this! stretch your arm out! don’t touch the giraffe!

What a hopes and dreams c-block.

it was the most amazing thing ever. it was so worth doing and if you get a chance to do this i would so do it. when i petted the giraffe it seamed that time slowed down. it was the most amazing thing i have ever done. like i said if anybody who reads this and if you get the chance to pet a giraffe i would so take that chance.

I felt a little bad because clearly this giraffe did not belong at the Topsfield fair indulging us bizarre humans, but man the snuffling mouth which they use to pull off leaves felt very cool!

well i went to chicago’s feild museum.. and this is as close as ive gotten so far.. a stuffed one.. lol.. sounds bad..it was neat and i had a good trip

I went to Out of Africa and did this, and it was amazing! These guys are so different once you see them up close and personal, and it’s just so much better to pet it than look at it from afar!

I’m sorry I couldn’t reach you. But I understand; there was a barrelling rhinocerous between us. I wouldn’t have ventured near my side of the fence, either. Next time I’ll try to visit when the rhinocerous is sleeping.
