get a pilots license

In case anyone is wondering, and for my own reference:

total cost using Cessna 152 $7,150
total cost using Cessna 172 $7,598

This is local to me, may vary (obviously) based on your location.

I took a couple of lessons when i was younger (18) and flew a bit, but i want to do the whole 40 hours thing so i can fly alone. It’s not that difficult if i remember right, just alot to learn and a lot of time.

I took my first two hours last autumn, as my husband bought them as a wedding present. The lessons were fantastic and I can’t wait to save up for some more…

I’m only getting it through the military and that can’ happen unless they pass the bill for accepting corrected vision. My fingers are crossed!

UK = PPL is 45 hours
US = PPL is 40 hours
(go to Florida)

I live in San Francisco Bay Area. Does anyone know how much it would cost? I should have done that when I was in Canada, it’s much more affordable to do it there.
