Zooot is overwhelmed with work and has no time left.
I have no idea how to do this.
My stutter comes at the most unexpected and sometimes the most inconvenient times. Usually when speaking to strangers or authorities. Find a synonym, quick!
Won’t shell out good money to lie on a couch for this.

i have stuttered all my life, although not as bad as some people it is so debilitating.
at certain times in my life the stutter has gone away, completely…. often to return when i start noticing it again or in times of more stress…
stuttering is one of those things, noone knows the cause, the cure, or what treatment to use…. sooo frustrating!.....
u see those claims on the net…. “stop stuttering in 9 minutes…”
etc…., and u wonder if they are worth the giant pricetags…. could it be real? or just another scam?
i love talking and all my jobs have been communications based eg call centre, sales, customer service etc….
if bruce willis, james earl jones, tiger woods and winston churchill can do it….. so can we….. we just need the right advice….!

I stutter when I get scared or rattled in the conversation. But when I am talking to myself in front of the mirror it just fades out. I dont know how to cure this but I am willing to find a miracle.!

yeh i’ve stuttered all my life and it comes and goes. I heard from a lot of stutterers and we all seem to be in the same (or at least a similar) boat.
I’ve even had therapy but the effect often wears out soon after the session.
i know i need to be very committed to help improve my speech but with uni on at the same time and other commitments, it’s often hard to focus on these things.
I guess i’m just restating what everyone else has been saying in different words..
well, good luck.

Comes and Goes

I’m 28 and I’ve been stuttering since I remember. Luckily its the mild type, I also have problems asking questions and starting phrases with vowels, I hate “A” and “H”.
It does have a lot to do with how you feel that day, if I feel good, alert and confident I have no problems but else..
I also notice that raising your voice helps. Don’t you wish people would communicate by singing?

It’s really sad that anyone stutters. I’ve had this problem for a long time… though not very severe, but still a real bother. I especially have a hard time on some words starting with vowels. I have a hard time saying the name Eric, and my boss’s name is Eric. I’m a designer, and I use Illustrator, which I have a hard time saying. When I speak to customers about the program I use, it’s so troubling, and I feel handicapped. My brother’s name is Ian, I have trouble saying that. Going to the movies is hard when saying a certain title to the cashier person. I remember I was scared of saying the word “I” in “I Am Legend”. I was also on a date, so it would have been embarrassing, good thing I didn’t stutter that word. I heard there’s help with a device, but it’s really expensive though… like
$4000 or more… also a good therapy program I heard about that was $4500. I’m not a rich person, so it’s hard to go for those, if it were only $1000, I would do it, even though it’s still pretty expensive.

xturnitup is trying/going to be the person i want to be :) -- just watch me.
This goals gotta take a backseat for now, since I have too many other things to keep up with.
But I will come back to this.
I’ve always been studdering since I can remember. I have a bit of dyslexia (sp?) so that might also be the problem. But it’s also gotta do with self confidence. I was getting better at one point, but still when I meet new people I sometimes studder a few sentences. I’m not nervous or anything.. but I do it anyways. =/
