My bf wants me to make him a shoulder bag for when he’s biking. I have some extra canvas, and i’ll just screen print something cool on there. I just have to get some hardware for it. 4 years ago

How I did it: I just picked fabric and kinda went for it. The first one I did was a pocket from an old pair of pants, so the basic structure was already done I just added a strap. The next one was a book purse, link below. Then I made a messenger bag for my boyfriend, because I had a bunch of leftover heavy canvas, who knows why. For that one I just fashioned it like a cube, I mean a very squished cube but that's the idea; three planes x 2. The latest one I did is a reversible bag made of sari-type fabric, pink and blue. It might be a little big but at least it'll hold plenty! So, after 4 I think I've "made purses." Read how I did it… 3 years ago

Yes, a big, loose reversible bag that I can hold lots of stuff but also is versatile with the two kinds of fabric. Yes. 4 years ago
I have a few very vague ideas, I want to figure out how to make them with good structure and closures. First I will sketch out what I want and then figure out how to achieve it. 4 years ago

I am actually developing my own aesthetic that is reflective of what I normally wear, not what I would make for my sister. 5 years ago
of this little tote that came form a happy accident, now I just have too many bags w/ this print thoug. So on to etsy w/ you. www.reign.etsy.com 5 years ago
this is my fave. I am getting better at this. Now am going to concentrate on making bags that are good enough to sell. Im pretty good with the aesthetics, but the details need work. I have to learn how to do zippers, and pockets. But its pretty good considering I have only been at it for 2 weeks. 5 years ago

I decided that to get along with this goal, the I will dedicatw myself to making purses the official Christmas gift of all the women in my life for which I had intended to buy a gift for. This way, I spend less $$ and time finding gifts, I hone my skills, give people something one of a kind and from the heart, and I work on different skills. I will make sure that the bags are done in ther personal style of that particular person so that I dont get stuck in the rut of just making bags that I would wear myself. These women are all different ages and have all differest styles. From my 75 year old grandmother to my 15 year old sister. From coin purses to messenger bags, I will finish them all by December 20th.
I saw the cutest clasp for a coin purse, OMG I am definatly going to get if for my grandmothers bag. 5 years ago
