I hit one yesterday for my co-rec team. The right center fielder decided to play really shallow on me and the pitcher gave me a perfect pitch – letter high on the outside corner. I drove it, but didn’t watch. I’m pretty sure that it sailed well over his head. It was especially nice because there were two outs and an automatic out on deck, so this was the only way I could score.
Of course, we still lost, so it wasn’t perfect.

A multihomer game for me today. :)
Both were inside-the-parkers. It’s really just crappy defense and misjudged overthrows and throws to the wrong base.

Came darn close last night. First at bat of the season I drove one to the wall, and probably would have had a homer, but I stumbled and missed third base. By the time I stopped my momentum I made it back to third safely, but I had to rely on a teammate to get me home.

I am starting to organize my softball team again. Once again it looks like every male player is coming back and no female players are. This will take some scrambling on my part.
Oh, and I did score a goal playing soccer, which is similar, but rarer for me.

Not my most important goal, but I would like to hit one this season.

Yeah, hitting a homerun is a good feeling.

I just want 1!

I’m 32, and I’ve been playing baseball since I was 14 (except for a 6-year layoff after college), and I have never hit a home run (not even an inside-the-parker that involves 3 errors on the play).
Before I retire (hopefully not for another 20 years), I just want to hit one clean HR out of the park (no deflections off of gloves, heads, or any other object).

I hit a standing triple over the outfielder’s head at last week’s softball game. If I were faster, it would have easily been a homer. So, I guess I need to work on my running skills. It was still a nice hit.
