I have about 12 unfinished compositions that I’d like to attend to. Unfortunately, I’m busy many other things and have not made this a priority.

I quit my composition degree two months ago due to the utter disorganisation of my department. It was really depressing, but last night I started humming a little tune…do mi fa so, so do la so, so la fa mi…so maybe there’s hope. A little tip-tapping song inside is worth more than a symphony on paper. I’m going to stick to believing that from now on.
I am a student focusing on composition this semester. I find it’s nice to actually have time dedicated to composing, but also there are times when I HAVE to compose things for homework assignments and I’m just not in the creative mood. I’m trying to find what works for me… I’ve learned I can’t get into the zone while I’m at home (too many distractions) I have to lock myself in the practice rooms in the basement of my school and have hours of solitude. If anyone has suggestions for getting over creative roadblocks, etc, I would love to hear them.
