Go to a Padres game at Petco Park

The game we saw they won. But how can you be in first place and be under .500? That’s not right. Anyway, the park is great. It fits perfectly in downtown. From a standalone perspective, I wouldn’t consider it the best park I’ve been in, but because it’s the Padres and it’s San Diego, it’s my favorite. 6 years ago

Petco park is perfect as are the PADRES! It was a great experience especially for my first major league baseball game!! GOOOOO PADS! 6 years ago

I went last season and it was wonderful. Truly an only in San Diego park and not just because of the name of the hot dogs. Because of the view—the open cup of the park looks onto downtown and the improbably sight of planes landing through the highrises. The outside is a combination of the San Diego train station and Bing Crosby Hall. Really, the whole place feels like it belongs there.

And that the Padres won (over the Reds) and that they had a good season was just icing on the cake. 7 years ago
