I honestly wish someone would have told me and my kids about homeschooling when they were younger because we have become so much closer and are having so much fun!
New things we’re doing with the new year are Gratitude Journals (non-religious), more cooking fun (which is hard for me because I hate cooking! lol), more field trips, and just enjoying ourselves even more.
We do have to hunker down though because our recent move and my illnesses put us back a little. I also need to keep up with our homeschool blog like I use to because that was alot of fun as well.

Well, we were going to go ice skating today but we got into this really deep discussion so it’ll be on Thursday instead.
Still sort of mundane…but I’m trying!

Me and my 2 kids 16yrs old and 8 sat in the living room today while a homemade pound cake filled the air with the sweetest smell. We just sat and read in total quietness. My 16yr dozed off as his feet lay across my lap on the couch. Priceless!

I had the kids to stop doing school work today for about 15 minutes and we worked on posture. I had them to walk the length of the dining room with a heavy book on their heads. It was fun for me and them. I gave the winner 4 quarters which is a hot commotity when you go to church in a movie theater.
