foreverHoping cleaning my room? It's pretty necessary
I have always wanted to do this, speak fluent italian, that is. It is a beautiful language, and a more gorgeous country. I take a school class in italian, but it’s summer right now, and two years into the course, I can’t really speak fluently yet. 45 minutes a day, 5 days a week should be enough, right?
In about a year, I would love to go to italy with my friend and her family, as they go every year and sometimes bring a friend of hers. That would be amazing if I was completely fluent in the language, and knew the culture, as to not look like an idiot.
xoxo, H.
I have to admit that my primary reason for wanting to do this is that I was emotionally affected by the Italian movie The Best of Youth.
All 6 hours of it.
my second family is completeeeely italian. big family and fighting and all that good stuff :D except i can’t speak it at all except some choice phrases. unfortuneately they don’t have italian in my school. i’m going to try to find some good sources though
My fathr’s side of my family is Italian. It’s a beautiful language and culture. My father speaks Italian. I’m trying to teach myself the basics with writng down phrases. I plan on getting books to help me out around Christmas time; and I plan to study in college as well.
it’s just the timing is wrong…...Raysa, one of my Cuban friends, speaks better Italian than me…she says I should be ashamed of myself (I’m not!)
Buona Sera!
I definitely want to do this. My dad was born in Italy and only moved to the states when he was a young adult. It’s the language of my father and the tongue of my family and culture, and I can understand almost everything when people speak to me in Italian…I’m just too shy to speak back.
