It’s worth doing, but its hard to plan it right sometimes. If you go to soon, they aren’t all out and if you wait and it rains, they are all gone. It is also packed, with people like me taking photos every few feet. 5 years ago

Hi, I live in the DC area and went to school here so I’ve been to the cherry blossom festival about 4 times i’d say. I always go to just look at the trees and wander the tidal basin. i’ve never gone to the parade b/c its early in the morning (for me). i will warn u that the tourists are CRAZY! def. go during the week if you can. enjoy they’re really beautiful 5 years ago

well, I was present in DC, but 1)i missed the peak bloom days and 2) the walk to the tidal basin can seem intimidating when it’s cold, wet, and raining. but we did see a couple of trees that had flowers that were not completely blown away by the wind and we took pictures by them. and i love museums! so it was still a fun! 5 years ago
