learn to play the guitar (again)

I’ve started messing around a little, making quite a habit of playing Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes lol. I’m going to see if I could take it to a friend and have them tune it properly for me cause it isn’t sounding right therefore I’m having difficulty learning chords. I have alot on just now so I can’t do QUITE as much practice as I would like but I will try to fit it in as much as possible! :-)

Spent a half hour with my boy trying to teach me to play ‘I will follow you into the dark’ – sort of successful but still can’t play an F chord competently all the time….

Now my guitar is like new! Have bought new strings and have also started playing. Still remember the chords but my fingers aren’t what they used to be, hurts already after 10 minutes. But practice makes perfect, I guess. I have also noticed that I feel more comfortable singing along with the guitar than the piano, for some strange reason…

A couple of years ago I played actually played a lot. But I am afraid that I have lost it. But my fingers are itching, I want to play again! But first I need to by new strings for the guitar (two are broken) and in order to do that I have to earn some money first.

I took classical guitar lessons a while ago and forgot all my notes. I own two guitars but can’t play them… how sad is that.
I want to be able to play Jack Johnson songs and maybe some Flamenco?

I don’t have a guitar where I am right now. We have a guitar at home but I’m miles away from home. Luckily, I’ll be going back home this December. I’m trying to be optimistic and think that it’s just a few more months away.

For the time being, I’ll content myself with learning the basics again online. Learning online guitar lessons is free now.

I’ve had my chance in playing the guitar back in high school. But after I graduated, I haven’t touched one guitar. And to think that I had a hard time learning even the basic chords. Honestly, I think guitars don’t like me. No choice but to force them to like me. :D
