Gaga0172Starting Out:)

Okay im 14 and its The beginning of fall. In July i did 100 everyday and lost alot of weight but than gave up. Now im going to try again and today is my first day. Im going to do 50 now, and 50 later on tonight. 3 years ago

WNeil19Going to start slow

I like the straight-forward ones, where I can definitely succeed. This is one of those. I’ll probably start with 25 or so, then work my way up to 75 or so in a couple weeks. Good luck to everyone that’s doing this =) 3 years ago

meme99I love crunches~

I did them this morning, let’s see how I do the rest of the week. I used to do hundreds in high school because they were the easiest thing for me out of the choices I had to do. I loved having a hard stomach. I think this is a doable goal. I will update weekly. 4 years ago

luvinmeI quit.

I don’t think this is for me, because:
a) i don’t have the dedication to see this thru which makes me think that…
b) i don’t really want to do it that much.
c) i’ve started going to the gym regularly and so i’d rather focus on sticking with that instead.
Good luck everyone else! 4 years ago

proanawanwanthanks for a good tip!

this is a really good idea, thanks!! 4 years ago

DanadanadanaUnrealistic

OK, new goal is to totally rehash this goal into something more realistic.

Yeah, sure, for a little while I was doing this nearly every day (I’m talking five days in a row, max). But life gets in the way and 100 every day is just too much.

I think I’ll call this “done”, rather than a given up goal because -like other people who have achieved this goal – in this context, every day doesn’t mean every day for the rest of my life.

I did a LOT of sets of 100 crunches. And I’m going to keep doing crunches, just in a more reasonable way.

Perhaps re-wording as “keep my stomache flat” – or something like that. 5 years ago

DanadanadanaBTW

yes, it does really bug me that this goal says everyday instead of every day… I didn’t write the original goal, and at the time I adopted it I wasn’t feeling inclined to start my own new goal which was essentially the same but with one extra space in the title. 5 years ago

DanadanadanaRare, but it happens

OK, I did them last night for the first time in 3 weeks. I had been avoiding doing it because my back is out still. But you know what? I actually slept better afterwards and had more energy the next morning!

Crap, that kinda takes away my best excuse for not doing it. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll come up with another excuse very soon. 5 years ago

petunia blossomthe number was too high

i would just look at the hundred and go naaah.

i am revising this goal to maybe 25 and then throw in some pushups.

thx yall and good luck 5 years ago

DanadanadanaNeglected...

Well, this goal has gone completely out the window. Granted, I was away for three weeks, but I have certainly been back long enough to begin again. 10 weeks since my last entry… that’s pathetic, me!

OK, I did my 100 tonight. Mainly because:

a) I spent 6 hours on a bus last Saturday (though I DID go hiking!), and my back ached something fierce… which means I need to pay more attention to stretching and building core muscles once again;

b) I have enrolled in a distance course – it’s a prerequisite for the teaching program I would like to apply for next spring. Canadian history. Was there ever a course more boring than Candian history? I think NOT. Anyway, I’m now more motivated to exercise because it’s at least more fun than studying history;

c) my boyfriend’s coming to Japan for Christmas, which means that FOR SURE someone’s gonna see me naked within a specific period of time (though it’s a long time away)! 5 years ago

Danadanadana:-(

I fear that this is gonna be on my list forever.

I actually was doing this for a while, and started to see results too. Then – I don’t know what happened, I just forgot or something.

Plus my back has been out lately. I did crunches today until my back got sore. I guess I’ll just try to do a bit at a time and hopefully get back into it. 5 years ago

DanadanadanaNeed. To.

DO. This.

OK, self, what’s the big holdup? Is doing the laundry really more important? Do I really need to check my email THAT often? Could I not be doing my situps right now? I think I could.

Well, if I didn’t have to go meet my friend in 10 minutes, that is.

I’ll just do 50.

DanadanadanaGotta love 43T !

Ha – I rarely do my hundred crunches – just once this past week, to be honest.

BUT 43T does help to remind me, and I have to say, if it wasn’t for 43T I wouldn’t have even come up with this goal in the first place, so I’m still ahead of the game by about 1000 crunches :-D

OK, I’ll do ‘em now! Bye kids! 5 years ago

DanadanadanaMy need to change this goal to

...”Every time I feel really really guilty for not going to the gym, will do 100 crunches as a penalty.”

THAT’s more realistic.

Well, I’m off to do my 100 penalty crunches now… lol! 5 years ago

Danadanadanaright now!

Ok, I’ve done this 3 or 4 times since I adopted the goal, but certainly not every day.
I have also avoided the gym since last Friday. All right, it’s rainy out and I know I’m not going to go to the gym, so – I’m going to log off 43things and do 100 crunches NOW! 5 years ago

DanadanadanaCrunch crunch

Have done 100 twice so far. None yesterday – abs hurt. Did some stretching though.

Have been lazy so far today, so I’ll aim for 50, minimum. Tomorrow I’m going hiking early in the morning. 5 years ago

DanadanadanaFirst 100

Ok, I also put exercise regularly as a goal. I do have a gym membership, and have actually been going lately (as in, this week).

But I recently noticed that my back and tummy are getting left out when I do cardio and weights. I am not overweight, buuuut I think my clothes would be a little more flattering if I focused on my midriff a little more.

Especially since I’m tall and it’s tough to find shirts that don’t expose an inch or two or waist in the normal course of movement.

Hmm, I just ate dinner. I’ll wait an hour then I’ll do my first hundred. In the meantime, I really should vacuum the floor! :-) 5 years ago

No point in doing 100 crunches everyday when there are training options that seem to be working better than crunches. 5 years ago

xtheOneDid'em..

I did my 100 crunches, everyday for the past two day. Sore, just hope I don’t get too sore otherwise I’ll have to stop. But I still do’em! 5 years ago

AJThe past Four days...

If memory serves, I crunches 3/4 of the days. I distinctly remember 2/4…but I’m pretty sure I only skipped one day.

I need to do more than this, even if ‘this’ means 100 EVERY day… I need to start running/walking and drinking water. Prom approaches…as does the rest of life. 6 years ago

AJTwo days off...

but two days on.

I was sick. That’s my excuse. 6 years ago

AJOops, I did 'em again...

I’ve done my crunches for the past three days (it’s midnight here, so today doesn’t count yet).

I’ve really started not to get sore…which is good. I’ve been cheating a LITTLE bit…holding them for shorter periods of time in order to get done more quickly… But it means a lot that I’ve been sticking with this and doing the 100 every day, no matter what. I’ve also been doing all 25×4 reps. 6 years ago

AJI just

did my crunches for today! Hoorah, although, I’m sadly still sore. I don’t really have any past muscle activity to reawaken…I’m going from scratch…so, this may take longer before I’m no longer sore! 6 years ago

AJYep, I did it again!

Boy, this sure looks like an awesome place to do a crunch! But for me, my bedroom floor will have to suffice: ).

AJYesterday and Today

These guys are crunchin’ it up.
Soon, I will run out of pictures of people doing crunches and I will have to get more creative!

Yesterday I rocked the crunching in the evening because…I was way too tired in the am. But today, I crunched it up in the morning before my shower/church. 6 years ago

AJI think

that morning crunches are going to have to be my thing. I’ve found that doing it first thing in the morning is an excellent way to make sure that I do it.

This morning, I was a little sore, but I think that’s just the muscle starting to really do something. Yay! And then soon, I won’t be sore at all. 6 years ago
