be well-read

Am going well on this front. Doing an arts degree never hurts.

This includes reading books at a much speedier rate than what I’m currently doing… at least two novels a week, I heard, if you want to be in with a chance at being a writer! I’ll aim for at least one a week at the moment, then build on that! But like I said in the travel entry, I read books that I enjoy and learn from- not just so I can say I’ve read them!

I realized today how lofty this goal is… Not exactly something you can go and do once, it’s a long project.

I’d love to be well-read. I want to get those obscure Jeopardy! questions right, and be able to debate literature with my dad. If you know good books, you get so many references in daily life you’d normally miss.
